Waiting on Wednesday #2

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. It features each blogger’s most anticipated books.

This week, my pick is The Rise of Nine.

“It all began with nine. Nine aliens who left their home planet of Lorien when it fell under attack by the evil Mogadorians—who scattered on Earth and went into hiding. They look like ordinary teenagers, but they have extraordinary skills. The Mogadorians killed Number One, Number Two, and Number Three. They tried to kill Number Four … and failed.

Number Four (aka John Smith) has now teamed up with Number Nine, while Six has gone off to find the others. With the Mogadorians hot on their trail and time running out, they must find a way to come together, before it’s too late. Power in numbers will save them all.”

Why I Can’t Wait:

I’m a fan of this series! I haven’t read much sci-fi books but this series has really caught my attention. I liked the I am Number Four movie (because of Alex Pettyfer, LOL!), but the book is way better. I found the series unique and intriguing and somehow creative in some ways. The second book has a killer cliffhanger, and I’m so excited to read the third book to see what happen. I’m hoping that number 5 and 8 will be introduced here.

Expected publication:

 August 21st 2012 by HarperCollins

  2. So happy I’m not the only one who is waiting for this. Funny how my friends are so into the series, too, even if they’re not the bookish types. And I agree about the books being way better than the movie (though Alex was really cute..hehe). Guess, for me, Dana Agron just killed Sarah’s character. She was too “constipated-looking” to be Sarah on screen. Idk, maybe it’s just me. Hehe

Thanks for visiting my WoW! Oh, btw, are you Filipino? Coz I am and I’m happy to get to know more Filipino book bloggers. 🙂

    • Yup, I’m a Filipino, I’ve checked your blog and am I right that you’re from Cebu?
Oh, I also feel the same way, LOL, I also didn’t like Dianna Agron as Sarah. She’s pretty, but she doesn’t really know how to act. She’s just “maarte” there! LOL!

      • Yup. I’m from Cebu. You? How long have you been blogging na pala?
And true about her not knowing how to act. Though her portrayal of Quinn Fabray is a wee bit better than her Sarah Hart act. Spot on about the “maarte” thing. Hehehe

      • I’m from Las Pinas city, nice meeting you Mauie!
Just started blogging last year, November. Do you have a goodreads account? I found the fun of blogging because of goodreads and my love for books! You?
