Waiting on Wednesday #15: Scarlet

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. It features each blogger’s most anticipated books.

This week, my pick is Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

“Cinder returns in the second thrilling installment of the New York Times-bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She’s trying to break out of prison—even though if she succeeds, she’ll be the Commonwealth’s most wanted fugitive.

Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit’s grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn’t know about her grandmother and the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother’s whereabouts, she has no choice but to trust him, though he clearly has a few dark secrets of his own.

As Scarlet and Wolf work to unravel one mystery, they find another when they cross paths with Cinder. Together, they must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen who will do anything to make Prince Kai her husband, her king, her prisoner.”

Why I Can’t Wait:

I just finished reading Cinder and I’m screaming  for this installment!!! It’s a wonderful retelling story of Cinderella! And I’m sure this second book, Scarlet, will also be an awesome retelling of Red Riding Hood. 😉

Expected Publication:

February 5th 2013 by Feiwel and Friends

How about you?

What are the books that you’re waiting for?

Link me up so I can also stop by!

xoxo,

Jona

  1. I like the choice – and your review of Cinder 🙂 – I hadn’t realised until I saw this that the second book was going to follow a different fairy tale. Looking forward to this now as I really enjoyed Cinder

  2. I can’t wait too! In fact, I want her to finish writing the entire series so I can have them all now, haha. I can’t wait to meet Scarlet 🙂
