Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. It features each blogger’s most anticipated books.

This week, my pick is Hopeless by Colleen Hoover

Why I Can’t Wait:

If you’re also a fan of Colleen Hoover, I bet you’re also waiting for this? Right? I’ve been a fan of hers since I’ve read her books, Slammed and Point of Retreat. Her books made me cry and laugh, they touched a lot of emotions in me. So I’m sure this new book of her will also have the same effect. And as you can see, there’s still no summary yet, she just announced it in her blog that she’ll be having a new standalone book soon. Yay, I’m so excited!

Expected Publication:

December 2012 (Hopefully!)

I love my followers even though I wasn’t able to reply every time. I love it whenever someone say that they love my reviews even though I think they only contain raves about my book boyfriends! I love everyone who reads my blog! LOL! Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate all of you!!!

Waiting On Wednesday #18: Sweet Peril

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. It features each blogger’s most anticipated books.

This week, my pick is Sweet Peril by Wendy Higgins

“Anna Whitt, daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself she’d never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She’d been naive to make such a claim. She’d been naive about a lot of things.

Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school’s party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.

When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?”

Why I Can’t Wait:

No words can explain how much I want this book! Just because I want Kaidan!!! LOL! I think I don’t have anymore reasons! I admit I also find Kopano attractive, but I don’t want him mingling with Anna. But maybe they can be together.. so that I can have Kaidan for myself. Bwahahahah! 🙂

Expected Publication:

April 30th 2013 by HarperTeen

Waiting On Wednesday #17: Dark Triumph

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. It features each blogger’s most anticipated books.

This week, my pick is Dark Triumph by Robin LaFevers

“Sybella arrives at the convent’s doorstep half mad with grief and despair. Those that serve Death are only too happy to offer her refuge—but at a price. Naturally skilled in both the arts of death and seduction, the convent views Sybella as one of their most dangerous weapons.

But those assassin’s skills are little comfort when the convent returns her to a life that nearly drove her mad. Her father’s rage and brutality are terrifying, and her brother’s love is equally monstrous. And while Sybella is a weapon of justice wrought by the god of Death himself, He must give her a reason to live. When she discovers an unexpected ally imprisoned in the dungeons, will a daughter of Death find something other than vengeance to live for?

This heart-pounding sequel to Grave Mercy serves betrayal, treachery, and danger in equal measure, bringing readers back to fifteenth century Brittany and will keep them on the edge of their seats.”

Why I Can’t Wait:

The sequel to one of my favorite books this year, Grave Mercy!!! (you may check out my review here). Is that enough reason why I’m so excited about this book?! LOL! Sybella is a wonderful character in Grave Mercy and I can’t wait for her own story. I’m sure it will be a good one! 🙂

Expected Publication:

April 2nd 2013 by Houghton Mifflin Books for Children

13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson: A book review

Title: 13 Little Blue Envelopes

Author: Maureen Johnson

Started Date: November 1, 2012

Finished Date: November 2, 2012

Rating: 5/5 stars

Summary from Goodreads:

” Inside little blue envelope 1 are $1,000 and instructions to buy a plane ticket.

In envelope 2 are directions to a specific London flat.

The note in envelope 3 tells Ginny: Find a starving artist.

Because of envelope 4, Ginny and a playwright/thief/ bloke-about-town called Keith go to Scotland together, with somewhat disastrous-though utterly romantic-results. But will she ever see him again?

Everything about Ginny will change this summer, and it’s all because of the 13 little blue envelopes.”

MY THOUGHTS.

5 stars! AWESOME! VERY CREATIVE! Unique! I love every little thing about it. Definitely exceeded my expectation!

I’ve been seeing this book in our bookstore for a long time but the title was really the one that caught my attention. It seems very interesting and cute! Of course, my curiosity for those 13 little blue envelopes and the messages they carry was killing me. LOL! I expected a lot of adventures and funny scenes, and the book never failed in any point. What I didn’t expect is the ability of the book to bring out my emotions. The characters felt real. Even though sometimes I wonder how a teenager can actually travel alone by herself around the world. Is it possible to travel alone in that age? Well, I’m sure my mom will never allow me if I’m still 17. LOL! I love to travel and I’m so jealous with Ginnie, she was able to go anywhere. I love the way how she handled herself, she’s strong and funny like her aunt. And I can’t help but wonder if there’s really a person like her aunt, carefree, eccentric, crazy, somehow not normal. But I like her, she’s a good and caring person. She loves to help people, and she inspired me a lot.

I’ve learned a lot from this book, especially some lovely places and paintings. I’m not very familiar with the painters mentioned, so I googled them. I love the new knowledge I gained. And every blue envelope has a moral lesson. Go figure them out!!! 🙂
I admire the author’s creativeness with this book. I’ll be reading more from her for sure.

I laughed and cried, in most parts. Maybe the book taught me how to be crazy sometimes.
But you know, we must sometimes, yeah, be crazy, to be happy and enjoy life.

🙂

Hi everyone!!! I bought 3 paperbacks in our local bookstore, Fully Booked Greenbelt 5 last Thursday. I enjoyed my time there because I saw a lot of young adult books that I’ve been searching for so long. They also have those rare YA books that I thought not available here in our country. I’m sure that I’ll be going back there for my future book purchases. 🙂

Here are the books I bought:

Sweet Venom by Tera Lynn Childs

Tiger’s Destiny by Colleen Houck

Little Miss Red by Robin Palmer

I also got few ebooks:

Hidden by Sophie Jordan

The Dark Light by Sara Walsh

Roar and Liv: An Under the Never Sky Story by Veronica Rossi

Sempre by J.M. Darhower

The Perfect Game by J. Sterling

Shut Out by Kody Keplinger

Note:  I’ve already read Hidden and I loved it, I’ll be posting my short review in a while.
