Summary from Goodreads:

it’s almost

time for war.

Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.

She’s finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.

Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.

In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam’s life.”

Wow!!! This is definitely an awesome sequel, action-packed and very emotional! It has surprising twists and discoveries that will get everyone so thrilled, that they couldn’t put the book down!!! I didn’t feel the middle-book syndrome, which is common in a trilogy. It also has one of the best love triangles I’ve read! I admit this book made me confused so much! I don’t want to be confused too, like Juliette! Adam is my first love! LOL!

Anyway, I know anyone who will read this will ask why I only give it 4 stars even though I love it so much. As much as I want to give it 5 awesome stars, I couldn’t because of the heroine, Juliette. OMG, I couldn’t count how many times I rolled my eyes while reading the whole book, especially the disoriented thoughts of her. It was so frustrating and annoying, I’d like to pull all her hair off. I tried to understand her, right from the first book. But I couldn’t tolerate anymore her craziness. I know she has her issues and problems, especially with the kind of ability that she has, but..she became selfish and impossible. I hope, yes, I still have this little hope, that she’ll improve on the next book.

In spite of my disposition with Juliette, I love all the other characters! I even learned to love Warner! I remember I was afraid of him in the first book because I saw his cruelty. But this sequel made me like him so much, I saw the goodness in him, all the things that make him so attractive. I enjoyed his scenes with Juliette, and it seems that I want him for her. They have this connection, physical and emotional. And I think it’s for the best that they’ll be together. With that, I can have Adam for myself! Woot! Woot! LOL! He’s still the same, hot and gorgeous, a perfect boyfriend. I really wish that he’ll be happy in the end, because he deserves it so much. One character that I also like to have for myself is Kenji! He’s funnier and has a bigger role here, which is a good thing. 😉

I love this book and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the final installment! I wish that there will be more Adam and Warner and Kenji! LOL! I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves dystopian, romance, and gorgeous characters! 😉

Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally: Book Review

Rating: 4/5 stars

Summary from Goodreads:

What girl doesn’t want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn’t just surrounded by hot guys, though-she leads them as the captain and quarterback of her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys and that’s just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university.

But everything she’s ever worked for is threatened when Ty Green moves to her school. Not only is he an amazing QB, but he’s also amazingly hot. And for the first time, Jordan’s feeling vulnerable. Can she keep her head in the game while her heart’s on the line?”

Wow, this book is really good! It’s real and unpredictable. I also find it unique for me, especially because it has a not-so-typical girl considered as one of the boys. But I’m not that fan of her, maybe because she’s seems to be lost sometimes, and confuse. I admit I’m not into sports, especially football, that’s why there are parts of the book that I’m not familiar with. I like the fact that it is unpredictable. Wait, I don’t know how to complete this review without spoiling some. Ummm.
Well, this is hard.. Haha!

Anyway, I like all the characters! They are all funny and cool! Jordan is extraordinary, like I said, she’s one unique girl. But she met Ty, a new guy in their school. And that changed everything. She has a best friend, a guy friend actually, Henry. He is her friend for like ten years, from what I remembered reading, haha. So yes, i didn’t expect that there’s a love triangle here. And that made the story very interesting. I couldn’t put it down because I wanted to know who she ended up with. Halfway through it, I already knew who I want for myself, I mean for her. LOL! I will not spoil the ending, I promise! I love all her friends, even though it was hard for me to remember all of them.

I love it! Especially because it includes all kinds of relationships, families, friends, and lovers. If you love sports and unique romance, you will enjoy this book! I highly recommend it to everyone! And I will definitely read the other books from the author. 😉

Summary from Goodreads:

“For months Clara Gardner trained to face the fire from her visions, but she wasn’t prepared for the choice she had to make that day. And in the aftermath, she discovered that nothing about being part angel is as straightforward as she thought.

Now, torn between her love for Tucker and her complicated feelings about the roles she and Christian seem destined to play in a world that is both dangerous and beautiful, Clara struggles with a shocking revelation: Someone she loves will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.

In this compelling sequel to Unearthly, Cynthia Hand captures the joy of first love, the anguish of loss, and the confusion of becoming who you are.”

I love it! My first unputdownable book I’ve read this year!
It brought out all the emotions in me, and a lot of times that I had to fought back my tears.
I know, I know, why did it took me this long to finally read it? Because I waited for the release of the paperback. LOL! But I’m not going to wait for the paperback of the third book since I’m now eager to know the ending of this series.

I love everything about it!!! After reading a lot of annoying characters, Clara is a breather to me, she’s so different from every heroines. I like her a lot!!! She’s exceptional for me! An overstatement huh! Well, she’s strong in so many ways, both in physical and emotional aspects of her, even though she cried a lot here. I like the fact that the book emphasized on the relationship of family and mother-daughter thing, though it seems that Clara’s brother had burdens too. I somehow managed to guess his huge role. (Yes, I’m not spoiling it!)

I’ve been Team Tucker ever since, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t like Christian. I feel something about him too like Clara. But I know that I’m going to stick with Tucker.

Anyway, this book deserves more than 5 stars!
