Waiting On Wednesday #26

New WoWWaiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine.

It features each blogger’s most anticipated books.

This week, I decided to pick three books since it has been a long time from my last post. I’m allowed to do that, right? LOL!

My picks are:

here without you

1. Here Without You (Between the Lines #4) by Tammara Webber

Summary from Goodreads:

“Everyone has secrets.
Some are buried so deep, their existence is forgotten.
But a secret never told can turn into a lie.
And in love, a lie is one thing:

Reid’s in love with Dori, though she hasn’t told her parents that she’s fallen hard for the guy they’d forbidden her to see. Now she’s leaving for college, and Reid’s promise not to push her to go public is wearing thin, especially when she can’t – or won’t – return those three important words he wants to hear.

Five years ago, Brooke and Reid were a Thing. That relationship is long gone, detonated amid allegations of cheating – but they still share a secret that would stun everyone they know and alter public perception of them both if it ever comes out. And it’s about to do just that.

Here Without You is the fourth, final installment in the Between the Lines series, which includes: Between the Lines, Where You Are, and Good For You.”

Why I Can’t Wait:

OMG, I can’t wait! I can’t wait! I can’t wait! This is one of my favorite new adult series and I literally can’t wait for this final installment. I know it would be awesome! I’ve learned to love Reid and I’m a bit scared because Brooke will enter again in his life. I want Reid and Dori to be together!!!

Expected Publication:

August 6th 2013, Kindle edition

of beast and beauty

2. Of Beast and Beauty by Stacey Jay

Summary from Goodreads:

“In the beginning was the darkness, and in the darkness was a girl, and in the girl was a secret…

In the domed city of Yuan, the blind Princess Isra, a Smooth Skin, is raised to be a human sacrifice whose death will ensure her city’s vitality. In the desert outside Yuan, Gem, a mutant beast, fights to save his people, the Monstrous, from starvation. Neither dreams that together, they could return balance to both their worlds.

Isra wants to help the city’s Banished people, second-class citizens despised for possessing Monstrous traits. But after she enlists the aid of her prisoner, Gem, who has been captured while trying to steal Yuan’s enchanted roses, she begins to care for him, and to question everything she has been brought up to believe.

As secrets are revealed and Isra’s sight, which vanished during her childhood, returned, Isra will have to choose between duty to her people and the beast she has come to love.”

Why I Can’t Wait:

This looks like a good retelling of The Beauty and the Beast! It’s my favorite fairy tale of all time, I will read any retelling of it! And I’ve been a huge fan of Stacey Jay because of her work, Juliet Immortal, a retelling of Romeo and Juliet, which I absolutely loved!

Expected Publication:

July 23rd 2013 by Delacorte Press

the house of hades 3. The House of Hades (Heroes of Olympus #4) by Rick Riordan

Summary from Goodreads:

“At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy’s instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through the Gaea’s forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?

They have no choice. If the demigods don’t succeed, Gaea’s armies will never die. They have no time. In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus.”

Why I Can’t Wait:

No explanation needed. If you really know me, you’d know that I’m a fan f Rick Riordan and all his books! Of course, I’ve been waiting for this one, it has been a year from the third!

Expected Publication:

October 8th 2013 by Hyperion Books
