The best Fantasy YA book I’ve ever read!
Cashore is a gifted writer indeed. I love everything about this book, the characters, the setting, the plot and the uniqueness of it. For me, it’s like a combination of fantasy and historical romance, a total package of a wonderful book.
At first, I was hesitant to read it. The first three pages had me confused, I couldn’t get into it. I had to adjust with the language used, because it has been a long time since I’ve read books like it. There are many characters that I couldn’t track and settings that I couldn’t imagine. When I continued reading, it got me hooked up that I couldn’t even put it down. It really caught my interest, especially the concept of Grace and the different colors of the eyes. And the names of the characters are very unique I’d like to use them someday.;) Every one of them is dear to my heart. Katsa is a strong heroine, independent and confident. Po is a wonderful match, funny and yummy! LOL! Did I say yummmy? I mean he’s a gorgeous prince! I got to know the characters that I laughed and cried and feared right along with them.
Anyway, I’m glad I decided to give it a try and I know, I’m a bit late and everyone has already raved about it, but it’s ok, I’m a late bloomer. LOL! I highly recommend the book to everyone who loves fantasy and romance in a beautiful world. 😉
